Cleaning Up Your Credit Reports-How It Works
Step 1) Forward your Credit Report
You begin by forwarding a copy of your credit reports from all
three of the major credit bureaus. The credit bureaus will only
respond to you and not the law firm. Once you hear from the
credit bureaus, you forward the information to the law firm
which will continue to work on the credit repair. Without
receiving these updated credit reports, the law firm has no way
of knowing which items have successfully been removed.
Step 2) Choose which Items to Dispute
This step is in conjunction with the first step which begins with
you forwarding all three of your credit reports from all three of
the major credit bureaus. The credit bureaus will only respond
to you and not the law firm. Without receiving these updated
credit reports, the law firm has no way of knowing which items
have successfully been removed.
Step 3) The Law firm works your Case
The Law firm begins the dispute process by drawing upon its
vast arsenal of credit report repair strategies and experience to
dispute negative items on your credit report. Depending on the
number of negative items on your credit report, this step will be
repeated until all items are updated and/or removed.
Step 4) Sit back and Relax
The credit bureaus have 30 days to respond to your dispute.
After the 30 days, they must inform you of the results of their
investigation. They will update your credit report and send you
a copy of the updated credit report. It usually takes about 60
days between the day the dispute is sent to when you receive
the actual updated credit report. When you receive the updated
credit report, make a copy for your records and send the
original to the law firm to move your case forward. The cycle
continues from here until all legitimate items are updated and/or
removed.
